Mount Boothby Conservation Park takes its name from a 129 metre-high rocky outcrop. Mount Boothby features granite overlain with limestone and sandy ridges covered in Mallee. The vegetation in the park consists of dwarf oaks, tea trees, yaccas and desert bansias all of which grow in the sand flats. The park produces beautiful wild orchids in the spring. Mallee fowl breed here, and western grey kangaroos and echidnas are also common. The nearby Boothby Rocks reserve is a popular picnic and camping area....
