The Greater Blue Mountains Heritage Trail starts at Emu Plains with the Arms of Australia Inn and proceeds up the Blue Mountains and through to Lithgow and then back down the Bells Line of Road to the Hawkesbury. There are many places of interest along the way, historical societies, family history societies, museums, heritage buildings, heritage gardens and businesses with a heritage or historical aspect. They are all listed under 'Hosts' on the brochure and on the website, both of which were updated 2019. Brochures can be obtained from Visitor Information Centres at Glenbrook, Katoomba, Lithgow, the Hawkesbury and also some other areas.
