Shelley Beach is the most visited area in West Cape Howe National Park, as it is the only area in the park that is accessible to two-wheel drive vehicle. The wide sweep of beach is bounded at both ends by huge granite boulders, formed at the same time as the granites of the Porongurup Range, 79 kilometres to the north. Campers can pitch a tent at Shelley Beach Campground, which has a barbecue and long drop toilet. Shelley Beach is not suitable for caravans or camper trailers. Only tents and small camper-vans (without side awnings) are permitted for overnight stays. Campfires are not permitted. Bookings cannot be made. For more information, please visit the Department of Parks and Wildlife's ParkStay website. Tourists are advised to check for alerts and road/park closures before commencing their travel on www.emergency.wa.gov.au and https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au. ...
