Awarded 2019, 2022 'The Best Visitor Information Centre in Queensland Run by Volunteers', and still offers that same local volunteer dedication today. Tewantin Visitor Information Centre (VIC) also known as Parkyn's Hut is unique as it operates from an historic gold miners hut, transported from Gympie in 1920 on a bullock dray. We are located overlooking the Noosa River in the friendly town of Tewantin, Noosa Shire. Parkyn's Hut is also home to the Tewantin Heritage & Historical Society and a visit inside will reveal many photos and memorabilia of this historic area. Timeless Tewantin, one of the areas earliest settled towns and still is one of its three major centres today. Friendly and informative conversations with a passionate local who is eager to share their best tips and must-do experiences from the area.
