The Wangaratta Visitor Information Centre is a part of the Rural City of Wangaratta and encompasses the close surrounding townships of Oxley and Milawa, Moyhu, Cheshunt and Whitfield (King Valley), Glenrowan (Ned Kelly Country), Eldorado, Boorhaman, Tarrawingee, Everton and Springhurst. Wangaratta itself provides the ideal base to tour the region with a broad selection of accommodations including motels, hotels, bed and breakfasts, caravan parks, self-contained properties and rural cottages. The variety of restaurants, unique hotels, cafes and bakeries offer an endless array of fine food, superb wine, and an atmosphere to suit any mood. Wangaratta is located just two and a half hours north of Melbourne along the Hume Freeway and also has daily rail services between Melbourne and Sydney stopping at the Wangaratta station.
