“After deep consideration I have decided to commence a new chapter of my professional life, by going back into the private sector and activating my company Digital Coaching International. In this way I can continue to support and be involved in the tourism industry, an industry I am passionate about”, commented Ward.

“Post the recent strategic review of the ATDW and the decision to redevelop the national platform, it’s a good time to make way for someone else to lead the ATDW through its next phase of evolution,” added Ward.

Commenting on Ward’s departure, Board Chairman Paul Scurrah said: “Liz has done an excellent job in guiding the ATDW since its inception and driving the development and significant growth of the national platform, as well as nurturing the many relationships that make it the success it is today. Liz has also been very supportive in assisting the Board through our research and deliberations of choosing the best way forward for the ATDW. She has ensured that all stakeholders had a voice to guide our future plans.”

“It has been a real privilege to lead the incredible team that make ATDW work and to support our dynamic industry through rapid changes in technology. I have really appreciated my role and the opportunities that have come with it and would particularly like to thank our government stakeholders and the tourism industry for their support. I am excited about the future and continuing to work with many of the wonderful people I’ve come to know and respect in our industry”, concluded Ward.

The ATDW will commence a search for a new leader of the company in the immediate future and until the right person is appointed, Liz will stay on with ATDW to ensure a smooth transition
