Be delighted by the wide streetscapes and grand architecture of Bendigo as your tram shares entertaining stories about the city founded on one of the world’s richest goldfields. This hop-on, hop-off tour stops throughout the city allowing you to explore many of the parks, attractions, shopping and dining facilities that Bendigo has to offer. The Dja Dja Wurrung Tram uncovers the fascinating traditions of Bendigo’s first people. It departs from Central Deborah Gold Mine at 10:00am each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The Anzac Centenary Tram explores the impact of WWI on the local Bendigo community. It departs from Central Deborah Gold Mine at 10:00am each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. A self-guided tour of Australia’s oldest operating tram depot will leave you in awe as you are dwarfed by the many heritage trams which live there, each with their own story to tell. Trams from all over the country, including Melbourne's City Circle trams, are all restored to their former glory right here in Bendigo within the Bendigo Tramways Workshop. Bendigo Tramways was named Australia's Cultural Attraction of the Year at the 2016 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. The current tram timetable is available on the Bendigo Tramways website....
