ATDW should be your First Port of Call for Distribution!
Another great example of an exceptional listing is Outback Aussie Tours, who has been part of the ATDW for approximately 10 years.
According to Anita Clark, Business Development Consultant for Outback Aussie Tours, it’s really important to be part of the ATDW! “It’s a no-brainer really! Not only does the ATDW promote our products to our target market, but our information is distributed to channels far beyond our own website for a minimal marketing cost.”
In addition, the exposure that ATDW gives us through multiple worthwhile distributor websites is absolutely invaluable. These include:
– National (www.australia.com),
– State (www.queensland.com),
– Regional (www.outbackqueensland.com.au) &
– Other worthwhile distributor and tourism websites that draw our information from the ATDW.
Being an ATDW listed operator also allows us to participate in really worthwhile tourism campaigns with Tourism & Events Qld and Outback Queensland Tourism, so if you are not a member then you will surely miss out!”
According to Anita the new ATDW-Online platform is really easy to log onto, navigate and use. It gives you the control to update your listing details, images, etc. anytime. “It’s a really user friendly – step by step process that prompts & helps you with suggestions/information along the way”. With some mandatory and optional steps, you can put as little or as much information as you want – the more the better though! “Remember that this information is giving you far reaching exposure that you would not normally have so the more details, information and imagery that you include to help sell your product, the more likely people’s interest will be sparked and hopefully eventually lead to more bookings!” And if you do need assistance, the online support and ATDW contacts at TEQ have been really helpful whenever we have had a query.
To give you an idea, in the last year, we have had well over 2,000 pageviews from ATDW distribution websites – pageviews that we would not have had if we were not on ATDW. As mentioned above, ATDW promotes our product to channels outside of our own direct distribution and the links to social media from the ATDW listing are a handy add-on.
STATS: How our ATDW listing has been distributed:
“Without a doubt, I would recommend listing with the ATDW. For a small outlay, operators get extensive exposure for their product and reach markets not readily available to them. If you want your business to grow & succeed – you can’t afford NOT to be on ATDW! ATDW should be your first port of call for distribution, after creating your own website!”
Thanks to Outback Aussie Tours and Anita Clark for your feedback and advice. You certainly stand out as a tourism operator who has made the most of your ATDW listing!
