RACQ (Royal Automobile Club of Queensland) has been a distributor of ATDW since September 2011 and has used ATDW’s digital travel content in a relevant and tailored way, not only for their members, but for all motorists travelling around the State of Queensland.
RACQ, who is a member of the Australian Automobile Association, is a motoring club and mutual organisation, providing roadside assistance, insurance, travel, finance and other services to its Queensland members.
Jodie Barr (Manager for Entertainment and Projects) from RACQ added: “When we (RACQ) introduced our digital Trip Planner via the travel portal of our website (http://www.racq.com.au/travel/trip-planner) we required quality digital travel content in Queensland. We then overlayed and integrated ATDW content into our Trip Planner for motorists travelling to destinations and key points of interests within the State.
ATDW was a perfect fit as a content solution in this project as they provided us with thousands of accommodation, attractions and tourist drive listings. Having access to the ATDW database allowed us to tap into the rich Destination Information on the towns and cities that our members might be travelling to and was the link in providing options for things to see and do along the way”.
ATDW content can be seamlessly integrated into trip / itinerary planners and can fit alongside any existing content that might already be published previously.
Seeing distributors like RACQ using ATDW content in new and different ways, not only benefits the consumer, but provides exposure for the tourism suppliers that are listed in ATDW, making partnering with key distributors like this all the more valuable. Check RACQ today www.racq.com.au
