New Tutorial for Tourism e kit – Online Recruitment

Sourcing great people who are a good cultural fit and possess the correct qualifications can be a huge challenge for any business, but one which can be made easier by taking advantage of the advances in online and social media recruitment tools.

The Tourism e kit has answered this need by releasing a new tutorial – Online Recruitment. “This Tutorial is the first in the new series ‘Improving Digital Efficiencies’ which is designed to assist tourism businesses to become more efficient,” said Wendy Smith, Tourism e kit Product Manager.

The Online Recruitment Tutorial, which is aimed specifically at businesses with no prior knowledge of personnel e-recruitment, outlines and explains the various (paid and free) options available when looking to recruit staff by using online technology resources. Delivering practical solutions to some of the labour and skills issues currently facing tourism operators in regions, this tutorialcame about as part of the Kangaroo Island Tourism Employment Plan.

Most recruitment agencies are now using online tools and social media to aid them in familiarising themselves with a candidate before they arrive for interviews,” commented Smith.
