TXA continues to offer Tourism Exchange solution to Australian Tourism Industry

ATDW formed a partnership with V3 in 2008 to deliver an inclusive national open, booking platform branded, TXA, which combines ATDW’s database with V3’s Open Booking Exchange (OBX) technology. ATDW collects rich tourism information in partnership with all Australian States and Territories boasting 36,000 high quality tourism listings which are published across hundreds of websites. V3’s OBX technology enables suppliers to connect live information, content, rates and availability enabling consumers to book, confirm and pay immediately through hundreds of distributors.

Through TXA, ATDW listings are integrated with live booking data from numerous connected booking systems using the TXA platform spanning the industry sectors of Accommodation, Attractions, Events and Tours.

“Commenting on the partnership, Liz Ward, CEO of ATDW said: “The extension of this alliance where V3 provides the technology support for TXA and ATDW provides the quality product content, means that we can continue to offer the valuable services that TXA provides to the Australian industry. With so many tourism operators using TXA as part of their distribution strategy and many distributors reliant on TXA for access to a broad cross section of Australian tourism product, we are both very pleased to continue to provide TXA. It will be business as usual with no disruption to businesses connected to TXA.”

“V3 is excited about the opportunities inherent in the continuation of TXA and the alliance between ourselves and ATDW”, said Shane Crockett, CEO of V3. “TXA has been widely recognised both here and internationally as an outstanding success as a national tourism platform. Most major OTAs are using TXA, including Wotif; Expedia; Agoda; Booking.com; Quickbeds; Hooroo(Qantas Group); NeedItNow; and Orbitz; as well as over 200 Government and Regional Tourism Organisations and Visitor Information Centres. All are capitalising on TXA to assist their digital marketing initiatives and the 7,000+ suppliers improving their bottom line.” Crockett affirmed that TXA will continue to deliver the same extensive service, plus add the exciting new combined data API initiative offering to distributors.
